create a color

I use a lot of blue in the painting I'm doing now, but I no longer have enough stock of art materials that I brought from Japan.

I decided to make a new blue one.

All Japanese painting colours are made from crushed and ground natural stones, shells, minerals or insect carcasses.

This time I also mixed sand from the beach here in Brisbane.

The particles become rougher and the texture changes in an interesting way.
